![]() ![]() If we go by my ideas it could be better to diverge from the light-aspect when it comes to the support classes, that being Paladin and Priest, so using the Paladin and something like a Shaman instead, but that might make the shaman feeling a bit too similar to a Druid depending on how its designed so maybe someone has an idea to make the classes more unique altogether compared to my list. Personally I really like the design of the Druid (Druid being my favourite class in both WoW and D2) personally, it almost being a copy of the D2 version but modernized, but would love to see a bit more nature flavour baked into it. Diablo 4 Beta NEW LEAK Smart Loot Controversy - What Do You ThinkCoupled with the removal of the Auction House, the system focuses on better loot drops, tar. It'd also be the same amount of classes that are available in D2 LOD and D2R so we wouldn't too much class bloat. With 2 melee (Barb & Paladin), 2 Hybrid (Druid & Rogue), 3 Casters (Sorc/Necro/ (Priest or Shaman)) and 2 Support (Paladin & Priest/Shaman) we would have a nice mix of classes to choose from. The Holy Paladin specialization that focused more on being in melee and dealing dmg to heal their party comes to mind that would seem neat. You could introduce a more WoW Paladin-esque character that focuses on tanking and self-healing along with buffs like the D2 Paladin auras for a second support and melee character. IIRC we have 1 pure melee, two hybrid melee/range and 1 ranged class confirmed as of right now and with a potential support class as well as MAYBE a Necro/Summon-esque class coming afterwards it'd be nice to see an additional melee class introduced to round things out. (I personally preferred the aesthetics of the Witch Doctor from D3 than the Necro of D2 but I know there's a lot of love for the Necro and I also think the design of the Necro is more unique in comparison to the classes we already have available) The Druid looks more like a character-first/summons-second type of character so a class that puts their summons first (like the Summon/Curse Necro from D2) would fit in nicely. ![]() On topic of additional classes I can see them introducing the Necromancer/Witch Doctor early on. Something more akin to the Priest/Shaman class in WoW that focus on elemental/light-based ranged attacks, along with buffs & heals. On the topic of the "healer" archetype I hope they avoid the Paladin and go for a more standardized type of Priest if they are going to introduce such a character for their 5th or close to 5th character. IIRC there was a class called a Priest in the works in a previous Diablo installment, might've been D2, so they could dabble with something akin to that for a more heal/buff/backline-focused class if they're gonna go with a more dungeon-esque type of experience. ![]()
